About Us

Ground Pounder started several years ago as a lunchtime discussion in my friend’s and then co-worker’s office. Originally designed to be a set of generic rules for any miniatures, over the years Ground Pounder has evolved into its own universe with its own supporting miniatures line. Nearly five years later Ground Pounder is closer to reality than ever.

Jason Ellis - Lead Designer, Writer and Producer

In high school Jason wrote science fiction short stories and worked as a staff writer on the school newspaper. High school is also where Jason got his start in miniature gaming, collecting and playing Necromunda with his high school friends and being hooked on miniature gaming ever since. Years later Jason graduated from just playing miniatures to actually helping to organize them at a local Bay Area gaming convention. It was also at this time that the first ideas for Ground Pounder started to take shape.

These ideas were put on hold, however, after Jason moved to Southern California where he took a job with a computer company and finished his college degree. Today he works for a small computer company in Irvine by day, while by night he works on his dream, Ground Pounder.
